Every once in a while, I come up with a new way of looking at various rankings by using the CFBMatrix recruiting based ranking model.  They are nothing ‘scientific’ nor involve complex computation, but simply another angle in which to address different ideas and arguments.  Although not perfect, the information in the articles cannot be too much better or worse than ‘experts’ making their ranks or picks.

Regular Season Wins – Year over Year Trends Matrix

A chart matrix showing the number of teams in a 12 game season since 2001 and their change in wins year over year.  See where your team ended 2010 and the odds for improving or declining in 2011.

Hottest Seats in the Stadium

Coaches with the biggest net negative game effects headline this group.  The worst offenders have been at it for over 3 years with no end in site.  The lower level coaches are just starting down a path they need to exit before they are cut loose.
